I heard recently that some moths, lay their eggs in Ant’s nests. The ants think they are ant eggs and care for them. When they hatch into larvae the eat the ants!
Not sure if I have all the facts correct, but these eggs in this picture, which the ants were frantically trying to re-bury were the largest ant eggs I have seen. Therefore, I wondered if they were in fact Moth eggs. Anyone know please comment.
