I know that I have been pretty bad in the past at maintaining the continuation of my Blog, so….I have basically started again-ish!

We’ll see how it goes. Is this just the beginning or another false start?

Talk about challenges. A customer said it was a special ring and could I save it? I ended up replacing about 75% of the 9ct shank.
Jake and Rosie, always know how to chill.
A commission for a customer who wanted a few little bits of 9ct gold and a pear shaped opal turned into. Pendant. Pearced Witches heart, Opal set in Sterling bezel setting.
I don’t think I have ever spent so many hours on a ring. This belongs to a customer, it is his regimental ring and he wanted it up sizing 8 sizes to an 1. Fortunately or unfortunately, the shank was well worn and I had to re-shank a good 80%. It caused me so many problems. Fortunately, all is well that ends well. Now tomorrow I have to upsize his Black Onyx signet ring by the same 8 sizes. 😫

A customer lost her son a few years ago in a fatal motorcycle accident. Black ice and an Artic Lorry. She had a pendant made for herself which contained his ashes, and in identical ring made for her husband. This dear lady lost her husband a year ago and has asked me if I could turn his ring into a pendant, for her granddaughter’s ( her son’s daughter) 18th birthday. I was humbled that she trusted me with this irreplaceable treasured piece. Having burnt the midnight oil it’s finished! I just pray she likes it. The glass cover that protects the ashes is so fragile. And I couldn’t bend and shape the piece without annealing. So... no pressure 😳

Had the pleasure to work on this very old watch chain bracelet. Customer wanted two links added. Every link is stamped 15.625. Which calculates at 15ct. New one on me. I used 18ct to make the new links. And added a safety chain.
My new bestest friend Jake semi- rescued. He’s been with me 4 months now and will not leave my side. I’m very flattered. ❤️
Blast from the past. Met up with the very talented Bruce Welch (ex-Shadows) at the 100 Club Oxford St, London a few years ago now. I hadn’t seen Bruce since 1971 when he popped into the TV Studios to see Lonnie. A really nice guy.

I was 13 or 14 years old on a two week holiday in Butlins Holiday Camp in north Wales. I just sat on the front edge of the stage every night listening-to the Les Douglas Orc. And watching the drummer Kenny Duff. At the end of the season my great uncle asked if I could have my pic taken behind the kit. Kenny was a lovely guy and gave me some great advice. He gave me a pair of Premier sticks and told me to buy the Buddy Rich drum tutor. It wasn’t until 15 years later did I come to meet him again, I was thrilled and wanted to thank him for his good advice and for being so kind all those years ago. Unfortunately, he wasn’t so pleased to see me as, I was brought in to play for a visiting star at a Sunday night concert at his residency in Morecome as they said he wasn’t good enough from previous concerts at the venue. I was so sad and angry at the people who had booked me. I tried jogging Kenny’s memory but I had the feeling he had already decided we weren’t gonna be friends.

I thought this 18ct y/g Puzzle ring was gonna give some problems. The lady customer needed it upsizing 3sizes. As it happens the six piece ring was no problem at all. Anyone guess why? 👍. #jewelleryrepairs #madeinwales #atthebench #markantonyjewellery #puzzlering
All become clear! My bristle brushes do not have galloping hair loss!😳
White nylon bristle brushes. And a really bad bunch, all the bristles are flying out. Never had this before.
Meeting HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh and our Queen’s husband. This was at a fundraiser in about 1987. Fond memories of days before the dreaded MS struck down my gorgeous wife.
